Congratulations to the Senior Band and the PRMS Choir on their performances at Concert Showcase 2009 on April 16.  Great job!

PRMS Band students are fine tuning their pieces for performance at the Music Festival.  On Monday, April 27, the Beginner Band will play at 11:15 and the Intermediate Band at 3:45, at Denton Hall, Acadia University.  The Senior Band plays at 9:30 in the Rosaria Centre, Mount St. Vincent University, on Friday, May 1.  Students at PRMS will be celebrating "Music Monday" May 4 with an assembly in the afternoon.  Our bands and choirs will play for their peers, and all music students will be performing "Sing, Sing" with students across Canada at 2:00 ADT.

The final PRMS Concert for 2008-2009 will be held Thursday, May 28 at 7:00 in the Gym.

Mrs. Keddy has information regarding Band Camp, Choir Camp, Nova Scotia Junior Wind Ensemble and Annapolis Valley Honour Choir for those students who may be interested.

The Beginner Band played very well Monday, April 27 and we’re awarded a Silver Certificate - yeah!!!

The Intermediate were awarded Gold and we heard Thursday evening that they had placed first in the ³Junior Band² category.  So, we are off to play in the ³Stars of the Festival Concert² at Denton Hall at 2:00, Sunday May 3.

Sunday, May 3, the Senior Band was among bands from Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, PEI, NS and Newfoundland at the Atlantic Bandfest.  After leaving PRMS at 6:30am, we were a somber bunch, but perked up to play very well and were awarded a Gold plaque in our category.  We had a great day, heard wonderful bands, shopped and danced, and tumbled off the bus last evening at 11:40.

I am very proud of all the band students and they should be commended for their behavior as well as their playing at Music Festival.
